Volunteering in West Sussex

Want to find out more about volunteering in West Sussex with us? Read on…

As well as supporting people to hook up with a Gig Buddy in the larger towns like Worthing we’re also looking for volunteers to become Gig Buddies right across West Sussex. Parts of the county are quite cut off when it comes to public transport links but there’s always loads of things going on and we want to support as many people with learning disabilities as possible to enjoy an active social life.

In West Sussex there’s a huge variety of things to do, whether its big festivals like Wildlife or Boomtown, top quality performances at the Chichester Festival Theatre, weekenders at Butlins in Bognor or just gigs big and small in pubs and larger venues in Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Crawley.

Being a Gig Buddies volunteer means you can share your passion for music and culture with an adult with a learning disability and hopefully spark a great new friendship that you’ll both benefit from.

Volunteers wanted

We’re currently looking for volunteers in West Sussex. We’d particularly like to hear from people who also have their own car so we can address the challenges people have living rurally as public transport doesn’t really lend itself to enjoying an active gig life!
